日本の大都市は、太平洋及び沖縄基地よりの絶えざる空襲に曝されております。

東京、名古屋、神戸等の軍需工業地帯は今や荒廃に瀕し、嘗ては繁栄を極めたこれらの都市の広範な地域も遂に灰燼に帰したのであります。

戦争が日本本土に迫ることは、即ち利己的軍閥が打倒されるまで、米軍の空襲が日一日と熾烈化してゆくことであり、誠に悲しむべきことであります。

In the autumn, when the military is defeated and peace is restored, are you not needed to establish the great task of rehabilitating and rebuilding Japan under a bright, innovative new government?
