Yesterday’s enemy is today’s friend

昭和四年七月二十七日ジュネーブにおいて俘虜取扱に関二十九ヶ国代表により調印を見たる国際条約には次の箇条がある。

The International Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, which was signed in Geneva on July 27, 1929, by the representatives of twenty-nine countries, contains the following articles

一、俘虜はつねに人道的待遇をうくべきものなり。

Prisoners of war should always be treated humanely.

一、食糧は留守部隊のものに等しかるべき事。

Food should be the same as that of the garrison troops.

一、各収容所には被収容者用病室の設置あるを要す。

Each prisoner of war Camp must have a medical ward for prisoners.
