その理由は比島近海の制海権が日本海軍の把握に有った為ではなかろうか？

以来戦況に一大転回を来たらした、本島近海の制海権は現在誰の手に依って握られているか？

軍需品及び諸君を輸送して来た船舶またその護衛に任じていた日本海軍はどこへ行ったのであろうか？

Where are the ships that transported the munitions and you, and where is the Japanese Navy that was assigned to escort them?

諸君も既に知っている通り、我航空機、潜水艦及軍艦等の為日本の船舶は多大なる損害を被った。

As you already know, our aircraft, submarines and warships have caused tremendous damage to Japanese shipping.

果してまた浮動している船舶が有るだろうか？

然してその残りの船舶を諸君は近頃見た事があるであろうか？

海軍が多分安全な處に避難さしたのであろう。

The Navy probably evacuated them to a safer location.

一島の守備地に船舶の入港が全然不能となった時諸君は始めて大海の孤島に遺棄された事を悟るのであろうか？
