Japan’s “Eight Corners, One Roof” to the World is “Eight Corners, One enemy”.

[This is a play on the Japanese slogan of “Eight Corners, One Roof”, *I’ll be adding context later explaining, right now I’m concentrated on just getting basic translations up for leaflets]

パラオ群島

Palau Archipelago

アンガウル島侵入戦を昭和十九年九月十六日に開始し、九月二十日に終了した。

The invasion of Angaur Island began on September 16th, 1944, and ended on September 20th.

十月二日に軍政府が発布された。

A military government was established on October 2nd.

ペレリユー島侵入戦を九月十五日に開始し、洞窟内よりの抵抗を除く外、十月二日に米軍に確実に掌握された。

The invasion of Peleliu Island began on September 15th, and except for resistance from inside the caves, the island was fully occupied by U.S. forces on October 2nd.

ペレリユー飛行場にて日本機百十七を破壊した。

The Philippines

On September 5th, the Philippines, Halmahera, and the Dutch East Indies were bombed, and 57 Japanese ships were sunk or destroyed.

九月八日、ミンダナオ島を空爆し、日本船舶三十二隻を撃沈し、飛行機六十を撃破した。

On September 8th, the Japanese bombed Mindanao Island, sinking 32 Japanese ships and destroying 60 planes.

九月十一日より十三日において、中央フィリピンを爆撃し、日本機百五十を撃墜し、二百七十七機を地上にて撃破した。

From September 11th to 13th, the Central Philippines was bombed, shooting down 150 Japanese planes and destroying 277 planes on the ground.
